Exploring the Australind Jetty - A Perfect morning walk

Exploring the Australind Jetty - A Perfect morning walk

I’ve been to the Australind Jetty many times - walking Meisie, wandering along the water, or simply taking a quiet moment to breathe. But this weekend, Johan and I decided to slow down, explore properly, and even wet a line. And honestly.. It reminded me just how special this spot really is.

The Australind Jetty stretches far out into the estuary, giving you that feeling of standing right in the middle of the water. It’s long enough for a peaceful stroll, a bit of fishing, or just soaking in the views. The area is full of birdlife, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins cruising through the estuary - such a beautiful surprise every single time.

When we visited this time, we brought Meisie along (of course!). She loved trotting beside us, nose in the air, tail wagging at every new smell. Johan and I cast a line and enjoyed the calm of the water, the breeze, and the slow pace that days like this bring. The jetty can get windy, so pick a warm, clear day if you want the full experience.

There’s something so grounding about this spot, especially after a busy week. It’s peaceful, scenic, and perfect for unwinding. Whether you’re fishing, walking the dog, or just watching the water, the Australind Jetty gives you that little reset we all need.

And if you’ve just stepped off one of our Open Air Adventure Flights, it’s the perfect way to round out the day - grounding yourself after being up in the sky.

If you haven’t explored the Australind Jetty yet, add it to your weekend list. It’s simple, natural, and a reminder of the beauty right here in our backyard.
