A Local Favourite: Boulters Heights Lookout in Bunbury

If you're planning a visit to Bunbury — whether you're here to relax, explore the coastline, or get airborne in our vintage Boeing Stearman — make time to stop by Boulters Heights Lookout.

This peaceful hilltop spot offers panoramic views across the city, inlet, and beyond. While it may not be Bunbury's only lookout, it’s one of the most hidden — and certainly one of the most charming.

📍 Where is it?
Boulters Heights is tucked just behind the café strip on Victoria Street. The stairs leading up start from Wittenoom Street, or if you'd rather skip the steps, you can drive around to the top and park along Withers Crescent, just near Bunbury High School.

🚶♀️ Local Tip:
We often stop here on our walks with Meisie (our four-legged fluff monster), especially when doing the inlet loop. It’s the perfect place to pause, take in the view, and snap a few photos. And yes — you might spot us in our Open Air hats!

🌄 Bonus:
This spot would be absolutely stunning at sunrise. Early risers, bring your camera.

🛩️ Distance from the airport:
It’s only a 13-minute drive to Bunbury Airport — making this the perfect detour before or after your Open Air Adventure Flight.

Want more lookout points?
We’ll be covering more of Bunbury’s scenic highlights in our upcoming blog posts — including:
